IMPORTANT MESSAGE: COVID-19 ALERT

At W&G Service, we've been taking COVID-19 very seriously. We always have given our employees paid sick time so they don't come to work spreading an illness. Many of our office personal are presently working remotely from home. Our Service Technicians are starting at different times, and their parts are being staged in a separate building, distancing themselves from the parts department. Our customers are being asked if anyone in the home is sick. It's not that we won't serve them if they are. It's that our Service Technicians are proactive, wearing gloves and masks. Finally, at the moment, no more friendly handshakes.

Together, as a community, we can get through this crisis by being proactive.

4 Reasons Why You Need Programmable Thermostats

Adding a programmable thermostat to your heating and cooling system is not only a semi-easy project but it’s a financially smart purchase.  How so? One may think – Well, here’s why!

Forgetting to Turn Down the Temperature

1.) We’re all guilty of this- forgetting to turn down the thermostat down before we leave the house. When having a programmable thermostat you never have to worry about wasting energy or forgetting to lower it. This will make your morning routine so much easier leaving you with one less thing to do and a quicker way for you to and lower your energy bill.

Consistency is Key

2.) A plus for purchasing a programmable thermostat is the ability to maintain a consistent temperature for your home. Instead of worrying about cranking the a/c and the heat during heat waves and snow storms; running your system on a constant level will leave your home comfortable all year long with no random hot or cold spots in your house.

Advanced Systems

3.) One of the better parts of the new programmable thermostats is that we now have the ability to control our homes without physically being in the home. Wifi ability has changed the way we look at our homes now. This way if you are planning to come home earlier you can turn the system back up to the temperature that you prefer.

Maximizing Zone Heating and Cooling

4.) There is, in fact, one final benefit to having a programmable thermostat that will help your home run as smoothly as possible and that’s with having multiple climate zones. Different zones around your home can set up your home for energy efficient success. With programmable thermostats, they can customize each climate to each specific room.
