IMPORTANT MESSAGE: COVID-19 ALERT

At W&G Service, we've been taking COVID-19 very seriously. We always have given our employees paid sick time so they don't come to work spreading an illness. Many of our office personal are presently working remotely from home. Our Service Technicians are starting at different times, and their parts are being staged in a separate building, distancing themselves from the parts department. Our customers are being asked if anyone in the home is sick. It's not that we won't serve them if they are. It's that our Service Technicians are proactive, wearing gloves and masks. Finally, at the moment, no more friendly handshakes.

Together, as a community, we can get through this crisis by being proactive.

The Importance of Spring Inspections on your Air Conditioning System

Summer is right around the corner, which means your air conditioning system will be turning on in a matter of months; but how can one be sure that their system will be running as efficiently as possible? With a Spring Inspection, you can! Having a spring inspection will allow your system to be cleaned and thoroughly checked over before any major problems arise in the middle of a heat wave.

Benefits of A/C Inspections

Prevents Breakdowns:

Having the spring check-ups for the spring is extremely important to catch any future problems such as leaks or faulty parts. Catching the issues ahead of time will lower the chance of your system breaking.

Extending your AC’s Lifespan:

Think of it as an oil change for your car, every 3 thousand miles you’re replacing the old oil with new oil- same thing with your Air Conditioning System. Checking your system & replacing what has to be will extend the lifespan. Keeping your A/C Unit free of dust and dirt will ensure all parts are working properly and will help you avoid the extra expense of a possible replacement.

What Does an A/C Inspection Include?

  • Lubricating the motors and its bearings.
  • Cleaning the evaporator and condenser coils.
  • Checking and cleaning the condensate drain.
  • Checking the Voltage and AMP draw from the blower motor, compressor, and condenser fan.
  • Replacing the air filters.
  • Cleaning and Adjusting the blower.
  • Checking and testing the electrical connections and controls.
  • Checking the thermostat setting.
  • Remove and Clean the condensate pumps & tanks.

When’s the best time to get your A/C Inspection done?

The key to this situation is getting your A/C System checked BEFORE the hot weather sets in. For our fellow Long Islanders, we all know how hot and humid it can get out here; At Weber and Grahn we advise our clients to schedule the inspections between the months of March through June; during this time frame, you won’t entirely need your system until mid-June.

Our Service technicians will go through, clean and repair  ALL central air conditioning brands. They’re all NATE certified technicians who are trained to find even the smallest problems before they get any larger.

So Call Weber and Grahn today whether you’re a new or an existing client and we will take care of your A/C systems before the heat waves; 631-728-1166.
